Sustainability in Action: Shaping the Workplaces of Tomorrow
Hey, when you hear the word “sustainability”, what comes to mind? Green trees, clean water, breathable air? Maybe reducing plastic or switching off lights when not in use?
But sustainability today is much more than that.
Read our Sustainability Report 2025 to explore how sustainability is gradually becoming part of everyday workplace operations and experiences, from the systems we build every day and the way workplaces operate, to the food we consume, the resources we use and the choices organisations make behind the scenes.
And honestly, that is how meaningful change usually happens. Small decisions may not seem significant on their own, but when practised consistently across workplaces and operations every single day, they can create a much larger impact over time.
That is exactly why sustainability is no longer being viewed as a separate initiative. It is gradually becoming part of how organisations think, operate and grow every day.
Today, workplaces are being reimagined and expectations from food and facilities partners are evolving alongside them. Organisations are looking for more than great service, they are looking for confidence. Confidence that sustainability is not just a set of promises, but something measurable, actionable and consistently embedded into everyday operations.
Whether it is creating better workplace experiences, supporting well-being, improving resource efficiency or driving measurable progress across waste and emissions, sustainability is increasingly becoming part of how organisations build long-term value and trust.
And this shift feels especially relevant today, as India’s workplace landscape continues to evolve rapidly. Organisations are looking for ways to build workplaces that are not just efficient and future-ready, but also more responsible, healthier and mindful in the way they operate. This is especially true for younger generations entering the workforce today, who are increasingly choosing organisations that align with their values and demonstrate a genuine commitment towards sustainability and responsible growth.
This year’s report reflects many encouraging steps in that journey, from energy management interventions that helped save 2.47 lakh units of electricity and avoid 205 tCO₂e emissions, to smarter hygiene operations enabled through autonomous robotic cleaning systems designed to reduce water and chemical usage. The report also highlights greener workplace practices that contribute towards healthier indoor environments and more resource-efficient operations.

Across food services, the focus on sustainability continues to grow stronger through more mindful and measurable practices. Today, 90% of sites are actively tracking food waste, alongside a stronger focus on data-led nutrition and increased plant-forward choices across operations, with nearly 80% plant-based procurement. The journey also extends beyond operations through initiatives like Heritage Kitchens, which celebrate India’s culinary diversity while supporting local food entrepreneurs and the launch of Mumbai’s first all-women Compass site, creating more opportunities for women to lead, grow and thrive.
Our Sustainability Report 2025 reflects this ongoing journey, one built on continuous progress, shared responsibility and the belief that everyday actions, when scaled consistently, can create meaningful impact over time.
And while there is still a long way to go, one thing is becoming increasingly clear, sustainability is no longer just about ambition, it is about action. Real, measurable and consistent action that becomes part of everyday operations, decisions and experiences.
As workplaces continue to evolve, the opportunity to create meaningful impact at scale will continue to grow alongside them. Because in the end, the future of sustainability may not depend on one big change alone, but on the many small choices we continue to make every single day. The question is, are we ready to make those choices more responsibly?
